To ensure Lucid Upholstery is leaving the smallest possible footprint on the environment, we have taken many steps towards the production of eco-friendly Coated Fabrics. Our Manufacturing facilities in Colombia and Costa Rica have been equipped with state-of-the-art technologies that make efficient use of natural resources and prevent harmful by-products from being released into the environment.

Coated Fabrics Are Sustainable Because:
•They contain vinyl resin which is produced from salt and natural gas.
•Water based inks and topcoats are increasingly replacing solvent systems.
•They provide a long life cycle.
•They are durable and protect the end-users furniture investment.
Carbon Neutral
Our Production Facility in Costa Rica, we have become a company with a Carbon Neutral Process, so we support the commitment of Costa Rica in this important aspect of the care of our planet. The verification was conducted by The Earth University who have certified that CO2 emissions into the atmosphere are compensated for with our forest plantation, minimizing the impact to the greenhouse effect in the world.
Clean Water Recovery
Water is one of the world’s most valuable resources. At our Costa Rica and Colombia plants, residual waste water is directed into a holding system that analyses and treats pH and acidity levels. Solvents used during the manufacturing process are distilled through a filtering system. This allows for re-use, and ensures that nothing harmful enters the water supply.
Air Remediation System
We utilize air remediation equipment that meets current environmental regulations and recovers raw materials to be put back into the production process.
Solar Panels
The use of solar panels helps reduce our greenhouse gases which benefits the environment.
Recycle
Our waste is reused internally and externally
•The paper used in our production process ends up in India as placemats for restaurants.
•The selvage and losses are used to produce hammocks, rugs and bags.
•Fabric waste from textiles are reused throughout production, maintenance and for cleaning.
